PORTLAND, OR. (Mar. XX, 2019) The Pixie Project will host an auction — The Pixie Party — to keep animals safe and healthy. All proceeds go to helping provide aid to animals in need. This events is not only to help animals, but will keep healthcare for animals affordable to the Portland community.

“We’ve helped thousands of animals and look forward to continue making a difference in the lives of many,” says Jessica Berg, contact development director,The Pixie Project. [Pending review]

The event will be held at Yale Union, an art center, located in the center of Portland on 800 SE 10th Ave. Working together The Pixie Project and Yale Union are able to hold this auction to benefit the adoption and rescue center. “We love working with The Pixie Project, helping our community, and bringing joy to those around us through non-profit work,” says Aaron Flint Jamison, president at Yale Union.[Pending Review]You can find more information on reserving a spot here [link placeholder].

“Pixie makes animal adoption and rescue a fun, family friendly, and positive experience. With a quick application finding the right dog or cat for you is as effortless as giving them a name,” said Peter Anderson. [Third-party quote] Deciding to adopt is a big decision, an application helps to minimize the risk of these animals returning to the shelter.

According to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. The Pixie Project is focused on quality over quantity. That means finding the perfect owner for each animal, to keep the number of animals returning to a shelter low.

“My husband and I love Pixie Project. They helped us adopt our first furry family member, a Great Dane-mix named Banksy. He's the best dog in the world, or at least we think so. We are celebrating his adoptiversary soon and it made me think back on the adoption process. Everyone at Pixie was friendly and professional during the process,” said Marissa Siegel [Third-party quote]

About Yale Union:

Founded by artists, Yale Union is a center for contemporary art in Southeast Portland, Oregon. It is led by a desire to support artists, propose new modes of production, and stimulate the ongoing public discourse around art.

We are a small organization in a large building. At this point in our development stage, it would be disingenuous to say that our building, a handsome brick block, isn't as much an albatross as it is an instrument. While still in renovation Yale Union will demonstrate that contemporary art center does not need to be architecturally complete to foster culture. [Partners Boilerplate]
